Weir removed on Eden
– Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board staff were involved in a fish rescue at Gateside Mill where a weir is being removed to allow movement for migratory fish. A fish rescue was required first before in river workings could proceed.
This area contained huge numbers of trout fry, parr and adults and some salmon fry and parr.
Staff also caught up with Police Scotland, Fife, Wildlife Crime Liaison Officer, Ben Pacholek.
